A private company by design

Permanence is not the objective. Optionality is.

Tamam Shud is not a fund with capital to deploy before a clock expires.

It has no public product, no fundraising narrative and no need to turn each corporate act into a campaign. The useful advantage is the freedom to wait, not a duty to hold forever.

A long horizon can protect a sound decision from a short calendar. It cannot rescue a poor one. That distinction is rather more useful than the familiar language of “patient capital”.

The final point is not a forecast. It is freedom from a compulsory timetable.

Activity is not a measure of progress.

A few useful asymmetries

What the structure does not optimise.

01

Activity

A holding company can look remarkably busy while achieving very little. Transaction count is not treated as evidence of progress.

02

Novelty

A new opportunity does not become better merely because it arrived recently.

03

Exit velocity

Liquidity is useful. Being compelled to use it is something else.
